Zookeeping 201

Grades 10-College

Take zookeeping to the next level.  Experience real-life, hands-on animal care at one of the nation’s largest zoos.  Work alongside expert zookeepers, observe animal training methods and engage in up-close animal encounters.  Plus, enjoy all that Busch Gardens and SeaWorld have to offer.

Prerequisites for this camp are Zookeeping 101, Career Camp 10-12 at SeaWorld Orlando or related experience working with animals.

Zookeeping 201 is a 5-night long camp which begins at 12:00 PM Saturday morning and ends promptly Thursday morning at 9:00 AM.  Busch Gardens' Camps are fully chaperoned resident camps that include the following amenities:

  • Transportation between Busch Gardens and Tampa International Airport (TPA)
  • All meals and snacks
  • Two Camp T-shirts and a water bottle
  • Housing at our secure, onsite dormitory, Mzinga Lodge
  • Campers looking for an extended experience can enroll in one of our twelve night camps, Zookeeping: The Series or Zookeeping Intensive. You'll participate in two weeks of camp and explore the Tampa Bay area for 2 days in between.

Extend your camper's adventures even further...combine camps! Get the best of both worlds and combine this program with SeaWorld's Career Camp. Transportation is provided between SeaWorld and Busch Gardens.
